DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all Safety Department policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Run a successful preventative maintenance program efficiently at assigned Terminal(s). Responsible for repairing and servicing customer and company owned equipment. Perform scheduled inspections for planned maintenance. Conduct evaluations on malfunctioning equipment. Maintain logs of equipment condition and work performed. Responsible for monitoring company owned assets, equipment, and tools. Complete daily site activities at Intermodal terminals as assigned. Complete work orders, timecards, and customer maintenance records Complete uniform maintenance record keeping protocol at the terminal. Create parts lists for equipment maintenance and repairs. Willing to work with the Purchasing Department / Parts Department Willing to work in the weather elements (hot and cold environments) Willing to work at heights (80 feet) in a man basket / aerial lift. Willing to work overtime as assigned. Participate in Call Out Rotation (On call to respond to customer needs) Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic machine systems Other duties as assignedWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
Belief that safety is a necessity, not an option At least 5 years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems Understanding of various OEM platforms Understanding of preventative maintenance Intermediate computer skills Detail oriented with excellent record-keeping capabilities Collaborative spirit Physical ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. throughout a normal shiftEXAMPLES OF MACHINES YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
