Job Description
Working Hours/Days 7:30AM - 4:00PM Monday- Friday, Overtime and weekends when necessary Basic Duties Responsible for Power Systems Division rental fleet while at the Altorfer shop. Responsible for all units (generators and other types of equipment such as: compressors, chillers, a/c, heaters, cables, distribution and more). Responsible for rental fleet unit check in & check out, unit readiness (functional runs and appearance), and basic troubleshooting/preventative maintenance. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating and interacting with all customers to ensure we're meeting their expectations. Deliver and assist with loading & unloading project components on the customer's job site. Assist with set up, basic troubleshooting and repairs if needed. Coordinate with other service & part sources (Non-CAT specific) when needing to order certain unit parts or services to repair/fix returned fleet units. Complete rental documentation for customer's unit status. Responsible for completing rental paperwork for Power Systems records and maintaining unit status. May perform other related duties as requested and/or assigned. Qualifications Completion of formal technical training program or minimum of three years' relevant experience is preferred. Previous experience working in a field related to electronic diesel engines, fuel systems, generators, air compressors, heaters, air conditioning etc. is preferred. Computer literacy required. Must be familiar with programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and various CAT Programs. Ability to follow all safety rules and wear proper safety equipment. Excellent planning & organizational skills are needed. Must take initiative, be team oriented and willing to adapt to change. Ability to respond to callouts, work overtime and weekends when needed. Excellent communication skills (written, e-mail, and verbal) are required. Must have your own basic tools. CDL preferred but not required. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays when required to support business and customer needs. Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).
