Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Mechanic and become a vital contributor to our Trucking operation! In this role, you will perform essential repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles and equipment. Your expertise will help ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance of our fleet and machinery. This position offers a flexible schedule perfect for those passionate about automotive repair and mechanical systems, eager to apply their skills. Duties Diagnose mechanical issues, repair and replace mechanical components such as engines, and electrical systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to perform repairs efficiently Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while working on various types of semis, trailers, and other machinery. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and ensure all work complies with safety standards Requirements Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy duty equipment including diesel engine repair, and equipment maintenance. Experience with Paccar and Cummins engines preferred. Familiarity with schematics, electrical work, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment failures Hands-on experience with heavy lifting and manual handling in a workshop or field setting Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools proficiently
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.50 per hour
