This individual will have a strong attention to detail with a focus on safety. Team and customer oriented, the forklift and semi mechanic will work efficiently and accurately in a team environment. Training is provided for this role; prior mechanical knowledge is beneficial.

Job Responsbilities:

Diagnose issues and repairs needed on customer's forklifts. Diagnose issues and repairs needed on UEI Specialized Transportation's semis and semi trailers. Repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on customer's forklifts. Provide simple service and tune ups to forklifts. Replace and repair forklift braking systems. Rebuilding hydraulic cylinders and forklift engines.

Marginal Responsibilities:

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

High School education or equivalent required. Valid Driver's license required. Minimum of 2 years prior mechanic experience required. Semi and/or semi-trailer mechanic experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Competency Requirements Safety is the number one priority. Demonstrated attention to detail. Mechanic-minded, must be able to identify work needed to equipment. Customer service and customer satisfaction. Team-oriented and will assist team members as needed. Execute work with accuracy and efficiency. Must provide own tools. Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Physical Requirements Regular sitting, standing, and walking; must be able to climb on equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
