The Technician/mechanic/technician Trainee position is an entry level position for a highly motivated, hard-working person with the desire to learn the mechanic/technician trade. The role of the Technician/mechanic/technician Trainee is to perform light mechanic/technician and preventative maintenance work under close supervision of experienced technicians/mechanic/technicians. In addition, this person will go through a structured training program to expand their skill set on a variety of equipment, including the onboard diagnostics. This position is a learning and training position to prepare for a mechanic/technician or Road mechanic/technician career tracks. Education or experience that prepares you for success:

• 0 to 1 years' experience with similar equipment strongly preferred
• Current enrollment, certification or degree from accredited trade program strongly preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on
• Ability to learn and comprehend complex equipment repairs
• Self-starter that is internally motivated to achieve success

• Customer service attitude and flexibility to meet competing priorities
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

(NUC) MR SB Related experience may include: Mechanic's Apprentice, Mechanic in Training, Entry Level Mechanic, Mechanic's Helper, Technician Trainee $37.83- $54.05 The hourly wage depends on the agreed rate under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement for this location.
