Job Description

Job Overview:
We are looking to hire a heavy duty mechanic to work on a variety of vehicles in a large suspension and alignment shop. Applicants should have their own tools or be willing to purchase them over time. Our mechanics work on jobs individually and in teams, so must be willing to accept help and guidance from the shop foreman regarding repair and maintenance procedures that have been in place shop wide. Experience is a plus, but training can be provided if applicant has some vehicle repair knowledge and is willing to learn. Vehicles to be worked on include, but are not limited to: various sizes of trailers, semi tractors and trailers, first responder vehicles, passenger busses, tanker trailers, dump trucks, trash trucks, and rvs. All suspension work is performed in the shop, as well as braking systems, alignments, and various welding repairs. Electrical wiring for trailers and lighting systems, but no engine work is performed. Clutch repairs and transmission swap outs, but no transmission repair work is performed.

We offer competitive pay based on experience, tools owned, and the ability to produce. Starting pay will be based on the above, but can be increased with good work performance and the ability to work well with others and follow directions. We work Monday through Friday 8a-12p and 1p-5p. We are not open in the evenings or on weekends, so no schedule changes will occur.
