In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of generator systems and associated equipment. Your expertise will ensure reliable power solutions for our clients across various industries. A strong background in diesel engine repair, electrical systems, and equipment maintenance is essential to succeed in this energetic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair generator systems, including diesel engines, electrical components, and mechanical parts using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and system inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs effectively. Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical issues within generator units. Conduct heavy lifting of equipment parts and components safely while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and work logs for all repairs and maintenance activities. Provide excellent customer service by communicating technical information clearly and offering solutions tailored to client needs. Skills Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a focus on generator or heavy equipment repair. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, automotive repair principles, and equipment maintenance procedures. Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical blueprints. Hands-on experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is preferred. Electrical experience including soldering, wiring repairs, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, power tools operation, welding techniques, and heavy lifting safety practices. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
