Downey Drilling, Inc. is seeking to hire a Mechanic at our Garden City, KS location. The ideal candidate will be organized, self‑motivated, and demonstrate strong time‑management skills.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, diesel mechanic is preferred Experience with heavy‑duty off‑road or construction equipment preferred Familiarity with DOT inspections Must provide own tools; Downey Drilling supplies all required diagnostic software CDL preferred but not required Full-time position, Monday to Friday.

Duties:

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and DOT inspections Source parts from local vendors and manage inventory levels Diagnose, repair, and replace components on trucks and equipment Maintain general upkeep and cleanliness of the shop, vehicles, and related equipment
