Job Description

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus - Mobile Technician in Ghent, KY Must meet performance goals and measurements. Pay-out over 6 month period. Position Summary The purpose of this position is to perform routine maintenance on all off-site equipment. The primary goal is to ensure that the mobile service truck has all necessary parts to perform minor repairs and give attention to equipment deficiencies found on routine inspections / PM's. Additional duties include traveling to the site to relay information of each unit started on and finished. Roles & Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and inspections at assigned terminal locationsEnsure safety and compliance by conducting DOT inspections on tractors and trailersPerform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers and other equipmentEvaluate equipment and make recommendations for improvements and/or take preventative maintenance actionAbility to perform basic diagnostics and repairsComplete written repair orders on every unit worked onKeep mobile service truck(s) organized while maintaining and tracking inventoryUse jack stands and proper PPE to perform all workOperate tow bar as neededTest drive equipment as needed Skills & Qualifications Must supply and utilize your own toolsClass-A CDL optionalMust live near Ghent, KY or within a one (1) hour commuteWelding experience required (stick or mig)Excellent attention to detailAbility to recognize, communicate and repair deficiencies foundAbility to work outside under adverse weather conditions with minimal supervisionProfessional demeanor and strong communication skillsAbility to inspect, repair and replace worn out or damaged components Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent requiredTwo or more years of Diesel Technician experience required Experience with hydraulics preferredExperience with end dump trailers optionalExperience with aluminum welding
