Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Generator Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of generator systems to ensure reliable power supply for our clients. Your expertise will help keep critical equipment operational, supporting various industries and applications. Responsibilities Install New Generators Conduct thorough diagnostics and troubleshooting of generator systems using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs on diesel engines, electrical components, and mechanical parts of generators to restore optimal functionality Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting to complete maintenance tasks efficiently Interpret schematics and electrical diagrams to identify issues and implement solutions accurately Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and scheduled servicing on various generator models including Caterpillar and other heavy-duty brands Assist with equipment repair projects involving welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical adjustments Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly about repairs, maintenance needs, and operational status Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in generator repair or heavy equipment maintenance Dealership experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, electrical systems, schematics, and mechanical components Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance tools, power tools, soldering equipment, welding techniques, and heavy lifting procedures Familiarity with Caterpillar generators or similar heavy-duty equipment is preferred Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Join us if you're eager to apply your technical expertise in a rewarding role that values innovation and dedication.
