Job Description

PrideStaff is hiring a Heavy Equipment Manager for a top-tier construction company in New Orleans. We aren't looking for a spreadsheet-only cubicle worker. We need someone with dirt under their fingernails who has graduated to managing the big picture. You'll oversee the maintenance, logistics, and tracking of their national fleet, split between the Louisiana sites, corporate office, and jobsites across the country.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the repair, inspection, and preventative maintenance (PM) programs for a national heavy equipment lineup. Your goal? Maximize uptime and kill downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues. Work directly with OEMs and dealers to handle Repair Authorizations, warranty claims, and equipment upgrades. Run the yard inventory audits for machines and attachments. Coordinate with project managers nationwide to get the right equipment to the right jobsite, and sign off on regional transfers. Use your tech skills to review digital inspection forms/photos for damage, process new equipment checklists, manage digital work orders, and build the monthly REM Fleet Dashboard for senior leadership. Enforce OSHA standards on-site and mentor operators and field mechanics in the proper, safe use of equipment.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years working with heavy construction equipment, with 3+ years running a crew, a shop, or a fleet in a leadership role. You will be using fleet management software, Outlook, and digital work order systems. You understand that accurate digital tracking keeps the whole operation running smoothly. Deep understanding of heavy machinery, hydraulics, electrical systems, and procurement (sourcing parts and assets). You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are ready to travel nationwide to jobsites, field offices, and headquarters to get things done. Certifications in equipment management and related fields are highly regarded. PrideStaff is an equal opportunity employer.
