Testament LLC is a growing construction company serving the Shreveport-Bossier area, and we're looking for an Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Preventive Maintenance (PM) Mechanic to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. If you take pride in maintaining equipment, diagnosing problems, and minimizing downtime, we'd love to have you join our team.Equipment serviced includes:
Dozers, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Skid Steers, Motor Graders, Compactors, Service trucks, Various support equipmentResponsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services on heavy construction equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and cooling system issues.
- Repair mechanical, electrical, fuel, and cooling system issues.
- Repair and replace hydraulic cylinders, hoses, pumps, valves, and components.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate service truck and perform field service repairs when necessary.
- Communicate equipment needs with supervisors and operators.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Work safely while meeting production and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
- Experience working on CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, or similar heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL B or A is a plus, but not required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Must have a working cell phone for communication and time entry.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

- Weekends as needed
