Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery used in masonry construction. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly and contribute to the successful completion of large-scale projects. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy construction equipment and small engines including lulls, grout pumps, trucks, forklifts, etc. using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and adhering to safety standards. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system repairs, and tire services to maximize equipment uptime. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Use power tools and specialized diagnostic equipment for precise repairs on engines and hydraulics systems. Maintain detailed service records for each piece of equipment including repair history, parts used, and scheduled maintenance tasks to support ongoing operational needs. Preferred Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with heavy construction or industrial equipment. Strong knowledge of OEM parts, schematics interpretation, and automotive diagnostics. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Proficiency in working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other heavy machinery. Mechanical expertise in transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols. The ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members. Your mechanical expertise will be essential in supporting large-scale construction projects while advancing your career in a fast-paced environment that values safety, innovation, and teamwork.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
