Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery including excavators, skidsteers, forklifts, generators, compressors,and more, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on constructing equipment, generators, air compressors,to OEM schematics and electrical testing tools. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, cutting tools, and fabrication techniques to meet repair specifications. Utilize power tools and hand tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair various mechanical systems with precision. Maintain accurate service records by documenting repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for each piece of equipment. Perform preventive maintenance tasks including tire service, alignment checks, lubrication schedules, HVAC system servicing, and vehicle maintenance. Operate heavy equipment safely during troubleshooting or repair processes while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in construction or industrial equipment repair. Hands-on experience working with construction equipment is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and electrical systems related to heavy equipment is essential. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Experience with fabrication techniques such as welding or soldering is a plus. Knowledge of heavy lifting procedures and safety standards for working with large machinery. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators or tractor-trailers is advantageous. Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
