Full-Time \| Shop-Based Role About the Role The Shop Mechanics keep Garrick-Santo?s crews productive by maintaining safe, reliable, job-ready trucks, trailers, mowers, handheld equipment, and snow assets. This role exists to reduce downtime, protect company assets, support safe field work, and help the team deliver on the company?s promise of reliability and excellence. This is not currently the lead mechanic role. It is a hands-on mechanic seat for someone who can diagnose problems, complete quality repairs, follow preventive maintenance routines, document work, communicate clearly, and keep the shop organized. Your work directly impacts how smoothly our crews operate in the field. What You?ll Do Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and company vehicles Service and repair mowers, small engines, and handheld equipment Maintain hydraulics, snow equipment, and related systems Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing Document repairs, maintenance, and equipment status Support shop organization, safety, and readiness standards Communicate equipment status and downtime clearly and early What We?re Looking For 3-5 years experience as a mechanic (diesel, automotive, or small engine preferred) Ability to diagnose issues and complete reliable repairs Understanding of preventive maintenance systems Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently and manage priorities Own basic personal mechanic tool set (shop tools provided/shared) Safety-minded with strong work habits What Success Looks Like Equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for daily use Fewer breakdowns and production delays in the field Preventive maintenance is completed and documented on time Repairs are accurate, long-lasting, and well-tracked Clear communication between shop and field teams Why Work With Us We are a family-owned landscape and snow company building a people-first culture around reliability, safety, ownership, and doing right by our clients for long term growth.
