Job Description

Seeking a Forklift Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Baltimore, MD. This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed
Pay Range:
$30.00-$35.00 per hour This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of industrial lift trucks, with a primary focus on Hyster and Yale equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience working on hydraulic systems and powertrains, and the ability to perform repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of safety. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain forklift equipment and material handling vehicles. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on Hyster, Yale, and similar lift truck models. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using wiring diagrams and schematics. Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and brake systems. Conduct equipment testing to verify repairs and ensure safe operation. Perform basic fabrication, torch cutting, and welding as needed. Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation. Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations. Qualifications 5-7+ years of forklift, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, and wiring diagrams. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing: Engines Transmissions Hydraulic systems Dry and wet brake systems Basic torch cutting and welding experience. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. Must provide and maintain personal hand tools required for the position. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Requirements Must be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card due to Homeland Security regulations. Must successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements. This position is limited to non-tobacco users , and nicotine testing is included as part of the pre-employment physical.
