Job Description
Gerrity Industries is looking for a heavy equipment mechanic to repair, PM, and maintain our fleet of tractor trailers, loaders, forklifts, etc. The ideal candidate needs to have the following qualifications: Be self-motivated and able to work independently Have a strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues Ability to work on forklifts, loaders, tractor trailers, light duty vehicles, and any other equipment as needed Strong organizational skills Should have tools, although we will provide any specialty tools required Must have at least 2 years' experience as a mechanic or in a similar field Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation Must be able to lift 50+ lbs as required, bend, climb, and work under equipment The benefits we offer are: Paid vacation and sick/personal time IRA with company match Paid Holidays Health insurance, Vision, Dental, Short term disability Flexible work schedule Uniforms provided Newly built garage with radiant heat in the floor and A/C in the summer.
