Motivated and versatile Skilled Grounds Staff with Heavy Equipment experience and mechanical abilities to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful landscapes, operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently, and performing essential equipment repairs. Your work will ensure our cemeteries remain serene, well-kept, and respectful environments for visitors and families alike. Skills Has a minimum of 5 years experience in landscaping, maintenance, and mechanical work Has strong experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment Possesses solid knowledge of plumbing, irrigation systems, concrete, masonry, carpentry and general construction. Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Works safely and respects equipment and property. Has the abiltiy to work outdoors in all seasons and varying weather conditions. Takes pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Shows professionalism, reliability, and strong personal integrity. Has strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Maintains a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Has basic computer skills. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, tractors, trucks, mowers, and specialty machinery. Set, raise and level markers, monuments, and foundations. Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening to uphold the aesthetic standards of the grounds Prepare gravesites and mausoleum spaces with precision and care for daily services Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on landscaping tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and management to maintain healthy lawns and gardens Use hand tools and gardening equipment for planting, pruning, and general grounds upkeep Support lawn care activities including fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to promote lush greenery Troubleshoot mechanical issues on equipment and perform repairs or coordinate with mechanics as needed.
