Full Job Description Title:
Field Mechanic Type:
Full-Time/Non-Exempt Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Flint, MI and surrounding area.Essential Functions:
- Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components in the field as a mobile mechanic.
- Utilize all technical support resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, etc.) in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repair
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
- Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner
- Perform all tasks in a manner fully consistent with company practices and procedures
- Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship
- Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- A high level of dexterity
- Drive motor vehicles
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
- Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft office and other fleet management software
- Ability to support team by working overtime
