Job Description

Job Site Services is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic to maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy-duty trucks, industrial service equipment, and machinery. You'll work on a diverse fleet while helping ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and ready for the job. Responsibilities Inspect trucks, machines, and equipment to accurately diagnose issues. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and preventative maintenance services. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems. Repair or replace damaged components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Read and interpret diagnostic test results, technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Test parts and systems to verify proper functionality. Conduct test drives and operational testing following repairs. Maintain accurate records of inspections, work orders, diagnostics, and completed repairs. Order parts and assist with inventory management. Clean, service, and lubricate machinery and equipment components. Replenish fluids and service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and related equipment. Assist with additional duties as needed, including field service work, equipment preparation, and vehicle painting. Keep detailed maintenance logs and report equipment concerns. What We're Looking For Proven experience working on heavy-duty trucks, equipment, or machinery. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and diagnostics. Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Commitment to workplace safety and compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent work ethic and attention to detail. Trade certification or diploma in a related field preferred. Valid Michigan driver's license required. Class A CDL required.
