Job Description
Mechanic Shop Helper Ground Control Property Services is looking for a dependable and motivated Mechanic Shop Helper to support our fleet maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working around trucks and equipment and wants to build a career in diesel or heavy equipment mechanics. Responsibilities Pick up and deliver parts from local suppliers Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop Assist mechanics with repairs and preventative maintenance Perform light mechanical repairs and basic maintenance Change oil, filters, fluids, and grease equipment Wash and clean trucks, trailers, and equipment Organize tools, parts, and shop inventory Dispose of used oil, filters, and other shop materials properly Move trucks and equipment around the yard as needed Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing parts deliveries Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Experience using hand and power tools is preferred Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift experience is a plus (training available) We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Paid training and career advancement Full-time, year-round employment Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays If you're dependable, enjoy working with your hands, and are looking to start or grow a career in fleet maintenance, we'd love to hear from you.
