Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shop Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment, machinery, and petroleum systems. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work with high volume Petroleum dispensing equipment, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs, and providing exceptional service to keep our operations running smoothly. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment with hands-on mechanical work, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Conduct inspections and diagnose mechanical issues on petroleum equipment. Perform system troubleshooting and repairs on tanks, pumps and dispensing equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to assemble, repair, or modify machinery components. Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, bobtail semi trucks , forklifts, or tractor-trailers to assist in maintenance or repair tasks safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and update maintenance logs accurately to ensure compliance with safety standards. Must be able to support customer service efforts by going on service calls to preform repair's and clearly providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance needs. Qualifications Proven experience working in a shop environment or with heavy machinery repair is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including hydraulics, transmissions, suspensions, electrical wiring, and air brake systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics and OEM manuals is a plus. Ability to operate equipment like class A and B trucks or excavators safely; forklift certification is advantageous. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power lifts, and other maintenance equipment for assembly and repair tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to ensure timely solutions for clients' needs. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working in various environmental conditions. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
