Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE
The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing lubrication, diagnostics, and both preventive and corrective maintenance on all Light duty fleet vehicles as well as heavy equipment used in the mine. This role operates in both underground and surface environments.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES
Perform routine inspections, lubrication, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all underground mining equipment. Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and vendors Troubleshoot mechanical issues and develop effective repair solutions to prevent equipment breakdowns. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment. Conduct systematic checks, lubrication, and parts replacement. Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and state/federal regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in SAP. Ability to operate equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks. Ability to use welding equipment. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in mobile equipment servicing or lubrication preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems of heavy equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP preferred. Must be willing and able to work independently with a high safety standard.KEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
