Job Description

About Us:
Pro-Line Asphalt is a leading asphalt paving and construction company dedicated to quality, safety, and efficiency. We maintain a diverse fleet of heavy equipment to ensure smooth operations year-round. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to keep our machinery running safely and reliably.
Job Summary:
As our in-house mechanic, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing all heavy equipment. This role is essential to keeping our fleet operational, minimizing downtime, and supporting crews in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on companyowned heavy equipment (pavers, rollers, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, etc.). Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately and efficiently. Repair or replace worn or faulty parts, brakes, and hydraulics. Conduct service calls to meet crews on job sites and repair equipment on location to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service records and communicate repairs to management. Ensure all equipment is safe, operational, and meets company and regulatory standards. Work closely with equipment operators to identify and resolve issues quickly. Assist in ordering and organizing parts inventory for repairs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in asphalt or construction. Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and use diagnostic tools. Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift heavy parts. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required. Must be available to work every other Saturday (April December)
