Amrize, formerly known as Aggregate Industries, operates seven regional construction materials businesses in the United States. The core business of producing crushed stone and sand & gravel is enhanced by downstream operations that produce ready mixed concrete, asphalt, and concrete products. In addition, recycling, liquid asphalt, soil remediation and retailing businesses are also in operation, creating true, vertically integrated divisions. This is a versatile position with variety and Union Benefits! Knowledge of and ability to operate several pieces of dirt work equipment including, but not limited to Dozer, Track loader, Excavator, Skidsteer, Tractor, and Backhoe. Assists crew in daily operations on assigned job sites. Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the plant and yard area by using general housekeeping practices. Perform assignments outlined by supervisors and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties. Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation. Perform pre-shift inspections on mobile equipment. Performs emergency and routine repairs and maintenance on plant equipment and structures at the site locations. May perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment. Grease and fuel mobile equipment. Follows all safety, compliance and environmental requirements in alignment with company standards. Perform routine preventative maintenance on mobile equipment and conducts routine inspections on mobile equipment. Requires one year of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
