Overall Job Summary The Small Engine Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on various equipment, including hydraulics systems, generators, mowers, chainsaws, garden tillers, and/or compressor pumps-single/two stage. This position will play a crucial role in the reliability and functionality of equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Perform preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair work on hydraulics systems, generators, mowers, chainsaws, garden tillers, and/or compressor pumps-single/two stage Provide effective communication with customers, vendors partners, tech support, and team members Perform diagnostic assessments to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues Complete work orders and estimates Ability to use the computer to do online training, look up parts, and order parts Work in a safe and efficient manner Continually seek both technical and product training when available Required Qualifications
Experience:
Preferred experience with hydraulics systems, generators, mowers, chainsaws, garden tillers, and/or compressor pumps-single/two stage repairs
Education:
High school diploma required, technical or vocational education preferred
Professional Certifications:
Certification in small engine repair; 2 and 4 cycle gas engines Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Effective communication, phone, computer, and problem-solving skills. Sound time management and multi-tasking skills Working Conditions Indoor floors and outdoor lots generally are hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt, etc.) lighting and temperature are adequate.
