Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Repair Technician to join our team with 5+ years of experience. As an Equipment Repair Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of ag, farm, and small construction equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.Duties:
- Field service work 75% of the time
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, utilizing schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, hydraulics, or electrical systems
- Operate heavy equipment as needed to test repaired equipment
- Solder electrical connections and perform basic welding tasks
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
Skills:
- Strong computer skills are required
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with various types of machinery
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their repair
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Skilled in soldering electrical connections
- Capable of performing basic welding tasks
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
