Mechanic Assistant Bozeman, MT 59715 From $25 an hour - Full-time From $25 an hour - Full-time Montana Crane Service is seeking a full-time mechanic's assistant to help around our busy construction shop. This is a regular weekday job Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday work. Primary responsibilities will include routine maintenance and cleaning of cranes, trucks, heavy equipment, and shop facilities, including oil changes, greasing, pressure washing, interior detailing, and tire repairs/replacements. Great opportunity to learn about diesel and heavy equipment and work towards gaining proficiency in diagnostics and repairs of all associated systems. Other responsibilities may occasionally include load out and offload of tools, equipment, and rigging for jobs, and occasional crane and rigging jobsite labor.

Requirements:

Must be minimum 23 years of age due to commercial insurance requirements. Must have valid drivers license and clean driving record. Must have fundamental knowledge of vehicle maintenance (oil changes, inspections, tires) and the desire to learn more in a fast paced environment. Must have the ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and follow company drug/alcohol policy. Must be safety oriented, self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn new things. Candidate must be willing and able to work indoors, outdoors and on job sites, independently and with a team. Daily paperwork (time card and work orders) is required. This job consists of manual labor and a fair bit of heavy lifting, but forklifts and and other lifting devices are provided where applicable. This is a great position for someone looking to get started in construction, mechanics, equipment operation, etc. Plenty of room to grow, new tasks every day, and paid on the job training.

Preferred Qualifications:
