PAY WILL DEPEND ON EXPERIENCE AND INTERVIEW
_ We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery, particularly diesel engines. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various types of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including but not limited to diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure reliability and longevity. Conduct tire service, including installation, balancing, and repair. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot equipment problems effectively. Fabricate parts as needed to support repairs and maintenance tasks. Work with OEM specifications and Caterpillar machinery to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment. Document all repairs and maintenance performed on equipment for record-keeping purposes. Skills Proficient in diesel engine repair and understanding of hydraulic systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues quickly. Experience with tire service, including mounting and dismounting tires on heavy equipment. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and techniques. Ability to fabricate parts when necessary for repairs or modifications. Experience working with OEM parts and Caterpillar machinery is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
