Overview Yellowstone Environmental Contracting, LLC is a family owned business that was established in October of 2010.We specialize in erosion control services for construction, landscaping, and environmental projects. We take pride in our reputation for performing each service with exceptionally high standards and integrity. This position is dedicated to maintaining and repairing a variety of machinery and tools essential to keeping these operations running smoothly, including skid steers, tractors, trailers, and other small power equipment. We encourage a positive work atmosphere and to follow all state and federal safety standards. Job Description We are looking for a skilled Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair small power equipment and attachments used in erosion control operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing equipment such as skid steers, tractors, trailers, trucks, and other small power equipment vital to our projects. You'll help ensure the reliable operation of these tools, keeping them in top working condition to support our team and customers.

$35/hr with

Paid Holidays Requirements:
▪ Must possess a Valid Driver's License ▪ Must adhere to all state and federal safety standards ▪ Must be self motivated and have the ability to work alone ▪ Must provide your own set of tools ▪ Willingness to take direction and complete tasks ▪ Experience working with small power equipment, skid steers, tractors, trailers, trucks, and similar machinery ▪ Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in construction equipment. ▪ Experience in fabrication work ▪ Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in various types of machinery and equipment ▪ Previous experience in maintenance or repair, ideally within the construction, landscaping, or erosion control industry ▪ Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues ▪ Ability to achieve acceptable workmanship standards set by YEC ▪ Class A CDL is a plus
Position Duties:
▪ Perform various physcial activity such as bending, stooping, lifting and carring materials that are up to 100 lbs. ▪ Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly ▪ Perform regular maintenance, such as oil changes, hydraulic system checks, tire maintenance, and inspections. ▪ Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for all equipment repairs ▪ Ensure repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely manner. ▪ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure equipment is operational and safe to use. ▪ Diagnose and repair small power equipment, including skid steers, tractors trailers, and machinery ▪ Conduct repairs on trailer components, including brakes, axles, electrical wiring, and tires. ▪ Read and understand service manuals, schematics, and pursue available resources ▪ Fabricate new or rebuild specific skid steer/ tractor attachments needed to perform certain tasks
