In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction, industrial, and agricultural equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our heavy machinery operating smoothly, minimizing downtime and supporting our project timelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting to make a tangible impact on our operations. Minimum of 5 years experience with references. Pay based on experience. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and loaders using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Conduct electrical diagnostics on systems including electrical wiring, sensors, switches, and control modules to identify faults efficiently. Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems to restore equipment functionality. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced or repaired. Assist in equipment assembly, installation, and testing of new machinery or components. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as tire service, lubrication, alignment checks, HVAC system servicing, and general equipment upkeep to extend machinery lifespan. Do maintenance and repairs on deisel work trucks Requirements Proven experience working as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic with dealership or industrial settings preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, welding (including soldering), and hydraulic troubleshooting. Ability to use power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized test instruments effectively. Familiarity with OEM parts catalogs and the ability to perform diesel engine repairs along with transmission and brake repairs. Experience with heavy lifting techniques safely handling large components or machinery parts. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and repair accuracy. Valid certifications in heavy equipment operation or maintenance are a plus; relevant certifications in electrical systems or HVAC are advantageous. Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols.
