This role combines traditional mechanical skills with modern agricultural technology, offering excellent career growth in the essential farming industry. Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring farm operations run smoothly, with opportunities for specialization in precision agriculture, hydraulics, or specific equipment brands. The position requires full-time attendance and may involve working across multiple shifts including nights and weekends during peak agricultural seasons. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in heavy equipment repair, farm machinery maintenance, and automotive diagnostics, with a strong focus on tractors and industrial equipment.

Duties Daily Operations:

Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures using diagnostic equipment Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electronic systems Conduct performance tests and calibrations to ensure equipment meets specifications Maintain detailed service records and documentation for each repair job

Field Service:

Provide on-site repairs at farms and agricultural facilities Travel to customer locations with mobile service units Perform emergency repairs during critical farming seasons Advise customers on proper equipment operation and preventive maintenance

Technical Expertise:

Work with computerized diagnostic software and electronic control systems Troubleshoot GPS guidance systems, precision agriculture technology, and automated controls Stay current with evolving agricultural technology and manufacturer updates Order parts and manage inventory for repairs Skills High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of vocational/technical program in diesel mechanics, agricultural equipment technology, or related field preferred ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in diesel engines or related areas beneficial Manufacturer-specific training certifications (John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, etc.) 2+ years experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems Background in agricultural equipment, heavy machinery, or commercial vehicles preferred Apprenticeship or internship experience valuable Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, and specialized equipment Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various weather conditions Excellent attention to detail and communication skills for safety consciousness, customer interaction Join our team as a Tractor Technician to leverage your expertise in maintaining vital agricultural machinery while advancing your career in a professional setting committed to quality service and technical excellence!

Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)

Pay Rate:

Starting at $18 (increase base on experience) •Drug Screening and Background Check•

Work Environment:

Combination of shop and field work, with potential for overtime during planting and harvest seasons. May require travel within service territory and work in various weather conditions.
