Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Join Our Team Triangle Grading & Paving, Inc. is hiring experienced Field Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support our construction operations. Position Overview As a Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will travel to job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment in the field. This role is critical to minimizing downtime and keeping crews productive. Pay is dependent upon experience. Key Responsibilities Travel to job sites to troubleshoot and repair heavy construction equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues in the field Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs Complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment status and repair needs Maintain service records and report completed work Follow all company safety procedures and policies Keep service truck clean, organized, and properly stocked Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 4+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred Experience working on construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and rollers preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus) Must be able to pass a drug test Skills & Abilities Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in the field Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious Strong communication and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay:

$22.00 - $32.00 per hour
