Job Description
Job opening for a mechanic who has experience working with a wide range of equipment and brands. He or she will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment such as mowers, skid-loaders, tractors, mini-excavators, leaf blowers, chain saws, string trimmers, rototillers, and more while working in our business in Wake Forest. We need someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, and prioritizing needs to make sure our team has what they need when they need it. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Performing preventative maintenance, such as checking oil and fluid levels and replacing wearable parts, on all customer equipment. Diagnosing problems, and making repairs on equipment and possibly trailers Keeping detailed, accurate records on all equipment including repairs made, and parts used Coordinating repairs with managers to minimize the impact on production Advising management when major repairs or replacement is necessary Keeping the shop and work area neat and organized Necessary skills and qualifications: Valid NC driver's license 2 years of experience in small engine/ equipment repair or a similar field Good English communication skills Ability to work under pressure in a rapid paced enviroment Ability to read and interpret operating manuals and service specifications for all equipment Ability to complete all repairs to high standards of safety and quality Ability to safely operate company trucks and equipment Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair is a plus Welding or fabrication experience is a plus We offer: $22- $25 per hour PLUS commissions, with a typical average of 40 hours a week Health, vision, dental, and life insurance after 90 days Paid vacation and holidays after 90 days Retirement program with 2% match after 1 year Company events and training opportunities About our company: Triad Equipment is a locally owned Outdoor Power Equipment Dealership and Equipment Rental Business.
