Job Summary:

A skilled and reliable Mechanic ensures the optimal performance and safety of our company vehicles and equipment. This multifaceted role involves servicing and repairing a diverse fleet, including company vehicles, heavy equipment, tractor-trailers, and tanker trailers. Accurate record keeping of all maintenance activities and parts costs is essential for this position.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Perform diagnostic tests on diesel semis and equipment to find faults Analyze test results and repair as needed Repair and replace engine, steering, braking and transmission components Check and maintain vehicle lighting systems Install new tires, batteries, and other components as needed Perform routine service maintenance as a preventative action to minimize downtime Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles by DOT standards Manage and maintain an organized and efficient shop environment Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Valid driver's license is required Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is preferred 4-5 years in a similar role Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem solving Advanced knowledge of DOT policies and procedures Must have own tools

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work outside in all conditions.

Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
