Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity within our operations. Work with agricultural equipment, tractors, feed wagons, etc. Some diesel and gasoline engines. Hydraulics and electronics. Welding experience extremely helpful. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety. Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as an ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment. Repair or replace defective parts and components in machinery. Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment efficiency and reliability. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Qualifications Proven experience as an Equipment Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, diesel engines, gasoline engines, tractors, welding and cutting tools, and repair techniques. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus. Company service truck available, company supplied uniforms and will furnish most tools. Ideal candidate should reside within 30 miles of the shop location. Willing to relocate if not.
