Over the past 38 years, we've grown into a full-service utility partner with the crews, equipment, and expertise to take on projects of any scale. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable Shop Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of aerial bucket trucks and heavy-duty equipment. This role is primarily shop-based, with occasional field service work as needed. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, a safety-first mindset, and takes pride in producing quality work. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Perform maintenance and repairs on aerial bucket trucks and heavy-duty vehicles Complete preventative maintenance and inspections Support field service repairs when required Ensure all work is completed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Requirements 1+ year of experience in mechanical repair (heavy equipment, diesel, or automotive) Experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment preferred Aerial bucket truck experience strongly preferred Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues independently Must have own basic tools Strong work ethic and positive attitude Valid CDL (Class B minimum; Class A preferred) Current DOT Medical Card Ability to assist with field repairs when needed
