Job Description

Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Stanhope, NJ. There is some travel. The Mechanic will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on robotic demolition machines, attachments, and related heavy equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Daily responsibilities include inspecting equipment, identifying mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and completing required service documentation. The role will involve assembling and commissioning new machines, testing equipment performance, and supporting upgrades or modifications as needed. The Mechanic will collaborate with the service and engineering teams, provide technical feedback, and occasionally support customer training or field service visits. Assist in warehouse and parts inventory and distribution.
Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair of heavy or industrial equipment. Proficiency working with Heavy Equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies. Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation. Relevant technical training or certification in diesel, industrial, or construction equipment; vocational or associate degree in a related field preferred. Basic computer skills for service reporting, parts look-up, and communication with internal teams. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and diagnostic instruments. Capacity to lift and move equipment components as required and work in an industrial shop environment. Previous experience with remote-controlled or robotic equipment, demolition, mining, or construction machinery is a plus. Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally for training or field service, as needed.
