Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Mechanic and Forklift Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with forklift repair experience and a strong mechanical background who is eager to expand their skills and take on new responsibilities as they arise. The right candidate will be hands-on, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn additional equipment, maintenance, and operational duties over time. We value employees who are adaptable, take initiative, and want to grow with the company. Responsibilities Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues. Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections. Repair and replace components including brakes, steering, hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical components. Assist with maintenance and repair of other company vehicles, equipment, and machinery as needed. Maintain accurate service records and work orders. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Required Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in shop and field environments. Preferred Experience repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or fleet vehicles. Knowledge of propane, diesel, gasoline, and electric-powered equipment. OSHA or equipment-related certifications are a Plus.
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
