For an upcoming drilling rig construction and reactivation project in Singapore, Peak Ocean is assembling an owner-side PMT. We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Inspector to serve as a Client Representative in this role.
The Role:
Client Representative — Mechanical Inspector Inspection As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Senior/Lead Mechanical Inspector. Your mission is to verify that the shipyard's mechanical fabrication, installation, and equipment integration work meets specification and quality standards, supporting on-time, on-budget delivery. Conduct day-to-day inspection of mechanical fabrication, installation, and equipment integration work. Witness equipment testing and verify workmanship against approved drawings and specifications. Monitor daily mechanical inspection logs, QA/QC packages, and contractor routine operations. Verify the closeout of mechanical punch-list items and raise non-conformances where work does not meet specification. Report inspection findings and progress daily to the Senior/Lead Mechanical Inspector. Requirements & Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical inspection experience in offshore/marine fabrication or shipyard construction. Working knowledge of mechanical equipment systems relevant to drilling assets (pumps, draw works, BOPs, power generation packages). Familiarity with API/Class inspection requirements is an advantage. Excellent attention to detail and clear, factual reporting skills.
