Job Description

STS is seeking multiple experienced Mechanics with an active CDL A Licenses for its Service operations. This is a full-time position and pay will be competitive based on education-level and experience.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related heavy and light-duty truck systems, including trailers and commercial vehicle equipment Troubleshoot and repair brake systems, suspension components, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrain components Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on trucks, trailers, and truck equipment including routine technical repairs and make recommendations for future repairs Complete repairs independently and within quoted labor times across a wide range of systems, including welding, riveting, metal fabrication, trailer body and floor repairs, and door systems Document work order details within the Company's internal order and billing program Abide by all policies and safety rules and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment Driving consists of picking up and delivering of customer vehicles and transporting trailers between Company locations
Qualifications:
Active CDL A with clean driving record Must provide own tools Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs The ability to demonstrate successful welding skills in non-standard situations and on varying materials is a plus Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with other employees and management
Applicant Must Be Able To:
Walk, stand, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time Visually inspect small defects and/or small parts Operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools; determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work Demonstrate the ability to hear and accurately interpret mechanical, technical, and business information in an environment subject to noise, vibrations, etc. Perform all work safely in a fast-paced work environment

$25.00 - $45.00 per hour
