Job Description

Sandvik is seeking a skilled and motivated Hammer Rebuild Technician to join our Cleveland operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, rebuilding, and testing hydraulic hammers and related equipment to ensure quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical aspects of equipment and components per defined specifications Analyzing and documenting condition and defects of heavy machinery Follows instructions of work within time constraints to meet established delivery targets Adjusts equipment and repairs/replaces defective parts components or systems per instructions Maintaining a clean work environment, follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies Experience using precision measuring tools Opening, managing, and closing customer repair jobs - Start to Finish Working with ERP & other support systems (Profio, JotForm, Asana, SAM, etc.) Communicating with customers (quotations, job statuses, failure causes, etc.) Organizing and managing Renewed Hammer inventory Make recommendations on parts and tool inventory needed to maintain steady workflow Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and repair techniques via product trainings and online learnings Assisting in new product assembly when needed. Assist and train entry level/junior rebuild technicians
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery and/or construction/demolition equipment Knowledge of hydraulics; including disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly Ability to read dimensional drawings Excellent customer focus and are dedicated to improving customer satisfaction Able to communicate effectively and interact comfortably with colleagues Follow safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned Experience 5+ Years of experience Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak and read English Basic math and computer skills Good manual dexterity with the ability to use hand tools and precision measuring equipment Education High School Diploma or equivalent Vocational/Technical Trade School On-The-Job Training When you join our global team you will find yourself inspired by the spirit of Sandvik and contribute to our purpose to advance the world through engineering.
