The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery, plants, conveyors and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic components. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues. Conduct welding tasks as needed for equipment repairs. Operate cranes and other heavy machinery during repairs or maintenance. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Knowledge of Plants, Screening machines, and other various machinery. Experience Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair. Familiarity with heavy machinery operations, including functioning Plants Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to read schematics and transmit information accurately for troubleshooting purposes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's license may be required for this position.
