Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing a variety of mechanical equipment and systems used in shop operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, able to work independently. Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate repair or maintenance requirements. Repair, replace, adjust, and rebuild mechanical components and equipment as required. Conduct regular inspections to identify worn, damaged, or defective components. Perform equipment servicing, including lubrication, fluid changes, adjustments, and component replacement. Read and interpret equipment manuals, service information, drawings, and technical specifications. Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and other mechanical shop equipment safely and effectively. Assist with equipment assembly, disassembly, installation, and commissioning. Complete repairs and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and work completed. Complete work orders and service documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate equipment issues, required repairs, and parts requirements to supervisors and other team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with other mechanics, electricians, technicians, and field personnel. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience working as a mechanic in an industrial, oilfield, heavy equipment, manufacturing, or similar environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment with minimal supervision. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings, and specifications. Proficiency with common hand and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Preferred Qualifications Journeyperson or apprenticeship training in Heavy Equipment Technician, Automotive Service Technician, Millwright, or a related trade. Experience working on oilfield, hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial, or heavy equipment. Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical systems. Previous field-service experience. First Aid and H2S Alive certification. WHMIS certification. Previous experience working with Top Drive or drilling-related equipment is an asset.
