In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems, utilizing your expertise in welding, fabrication, and blueprint reading. Your proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostics will be essential for maintaining optimal performance. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance on transportation vehicles and machinery to prevent breakdowns. Diagnose and repair engine and equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime. Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Weld and fabricate components as needed to maintain and improve mechanical systems. Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and machine safety inspections. Operate cranes and forklifts to move equipment and materials safely. Qualifications Required Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and diagnostic abilities. Knowledge of diesel and heavy equipment systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Familiarity with 120/208/240/480 Voltage Systems. Preferred Skills Experience with crane operation and lifting equipment systems. Certification in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Experience with machine safety inspections. Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
