Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic Location:
Sherwood, OR Pay:
$25-$35+/hr.
Schedule:

What You'll Do As a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild a variety of heavy equipment and related products in a professional shop environment. You'll have the opportunity to continue expanding your knowledge and specialize in different types of equipment as you grow with the company.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
Diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and related products Analyzing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and failures Repairing, replacing, and rebuilding engines, transmissions, final drives, steering systems, clutches, cross shafts, and hydraulic components Diagnosing and repairing electrical and air systems Performing welding and fabrication as needed Identifying and ordering the correct parts for repairs Returning unused parts promptly and maintaining accurate parts records Communicating with management and customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and workflow Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Following established safety and maintenance procedures What You Need to Have 4-6 years of mechanical experience in a heavy equipment, diesel, or industrial shop environment Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air systems Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read and follow technical information and repair procedures Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license Ability to successfully complete a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check High school diploma/GED or technical training preferred What's In It for You Competitive pay based on experience Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) retirement plan Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Vacation pay Oregon Sick Leave Ongoing training and mentoring Opportunities for advancement and career growth Stable, family-owned company with 30+ years in the industry Supportive management team with an open-door policy Opportunity to work with modern, cutting-edge heavy equipment Why This Opportunity?
