Tapani Careers Job Purpose and Summary The Field Mechanic is responsible for ensuring repairs on heavy equipment in the field are completed as assigned. The Field Mechanic will also assist in the heavy equipment repairs in the shop as backup. Support in heavy equipment maintenance as needed. Responsibility Diagnose equipment problems and repair equipment at job sites Document time and repairs Drive service truck to and from repair locations Heavy Equipment Maintenance support Job Requirements and Qualifications High school education or equivalent Mechanic experience preferred but not required Knowledgeable in equipment repairs and troubleshooting Ability to be creative on getting machines up and running Knowledge of CAT ET & SIS and John Deere Service Advisor Vocational training can be helpful but a few years hands on training will better prepare you to work independently CDL license may be needed Able to listen and follow direction Ability to be on call as needed Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads Working Environment Mainly field work with some office work Completing maintenance and mechanic work on heavy equipment Hours typically range between the hours of 7am to 5pm

Compensation and Benefits Pay:
