Job Description

Hydraulic Service Technician Position Summary World Wide Hose and Supply is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Hydraulic Service Technician to join our growing team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, testing, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic components for customers in the construction, agricultural, industrial, transportation, and heavy equipment industries. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship with exceptional customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose hydraulic system failures and determine proper repair solutions. Rebuild and repair hydraulic cylinders, including telescopic and hoist cylinders. Repair and rebuild hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and power units. Repair dump pumps and PTO systems. Repair hydraulic and pneumatic tools, including tampers, jackhammers, floor jacks, Port-A-Power equipment, and hand pumps. Perform hydraulic repairs on heavy duty equipment. Fabricate and assemble hydraulic hose assemblies while ensuring proper routing and fitting selection. Manufacture custom hydraulic hard lines and air conditioning hose assemblies. Inspect components for wear, damage, contamination, and failure. Test repaired components to ensure proper operation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in mobile service calls when required. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Technical school or vocational training preferred. 2+ years of hydraulic, mechanical, agricultural, or industrial equipment repair experience preferred. Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and components. Experience using precision measuring tools and shop equipment. Welding and machining experience is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 75 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying shop and field conditions. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to build positive customer relationships.
Responsibilities include:
Communicate professionally with customers both in person and over the phone . Gather information about equipment issues and ask questions to accurately diagnose problems. Explain repair recommendations, estimated turnaround times, and service options in a clear, understandable manner. Provide updates on repair status and answer customer questions promptly and courteously. Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to customer concerns and responding with professionalism and respect. Work closely with customers to identify the most cost-effective repair solutions while minimizing downtime. Maintain a positive, friendly attitude and represent the company with integrity at all times.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
