In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and commercial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment used across various operational sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy machinery and a commitment to excellence in vehicle and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, hydraulic system troubleshooting, suspension adjustments, and air brake inspections. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational requirements. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair or testing procedures to verify repairs and ensure proper functioning. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and OEM guidelines to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Assist in assembly or disassembly of machinery components using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as an HD mechanic with dealership or industrial equipment background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and tire service. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read schematics, OEM manuals, and technical diagrams accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, heavy-duty trucks (tractor-trailers), cranes, excavators or similar machinery. Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipment repair or automotive service is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment when necessary for testing or repairs. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and teamwork.
