You will utilize your expertise in diesel and heavy-duty systems to perform complex diagnostics, execute precision repairs, and ensure our fleet remains road-ready and compliant with all safety standards. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on critical vehicle systems, including braking, drivetrain, suspension, and electrical components, to maximize fleet uptime. Perform rigorous preventive maintenance inspections to proactively identify issues and ensure peak performance of all mechanical and cooling systems. Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced telematic devices to support fleet tracking and operational data collection. Conduct thorough road tests to verify repair quality and ensure vehicles meet all safety and performance benchmarks. Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and labor hours accurately within our digital fleet management systems. Maintain a high-standard, organized, and compliant workspace that adheres to all safety and environmental regulations. Provide responsive support through on-the-road repairs and field service calls as required. Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining medium and heavy-duty diesel fleets. Demonstrated proficiency in computerized diagnostic tools and fleet management software. Strong understanding of DOT compliance requirements and safety protocols for commercial vehicles. Ability to interpret complex mechanical issues and implement effective, first-time-fix solutions. Possession of a comprehensive set of personal hand tools suitable for heavy-duty mechanical work. Proven ability to manage maintenance scheduling and prioritize repairs effectively. Preferred Skills Current ASE certifications in areas such as engine repair, electrical systems, or braking. Possession of or ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Experience with school bus or specialized passenger vehicle maintenance.
